In the City of Hosmer, we are defined less by boundaries on a map than by the sense of shared values our residents hold dear. Hosmer was founded May 9, 1887. "The community of Hosmer was founded by Russian citizens of German descent and culture who followed the promis of free land and freedom of religion to America and then to Dakota Territory." Hosmer Centennial book, page 26.
Today, Hosmer has longtime residents, and those who have moved here from other states seeking the small town life. Hosmer is friendly and welcoming. We hope you'll visit us soon!
